General information

Hope House School and Vacation Centre is a registered Charity based in Newark upon Trent. The site the school is on today was taken over in 2005 by Terri and Michael Westmoreland who had a powerful vision. To create a safe and friendly community whereby children with autism could come and develop their educational and social skills, whilst providing a parent-friendly environment which is sensitive to differing needs and circumstances, positive in its approach and imaginative in its practical solutions. The school is preparing to take a giant step in this aim, when the Vacation Centre that has been built on site will open and will provide long term residential care for our pupils. This will take Hope House from being a school to the flourishing community it hopes and can be. This being the case we aim to immerse Hope House in the community of Nottinghamshire and are looking to establish partnerships within the community that support the aims of our school and the work we do with the children.
