Sandham Memorial Chapel Company Information
General information
The humble exterior of this memorial chapel gives little sense of the great art that lies within.
A series of epic paintings by the great 20th century artist Sir Stanley Spencer depict a surprisingly intimate and highly personal view of the First World War.
Considered by many to be Spencer's finest work, this place is often described as 'Britain's answer to the Sistine Chapel'.
