Teddies Music Club

General information

Teddies Music Club is a place for you and your children to sing, learn, and, above all, have fun. Its also a great place to meet the nicest, most lovely people. You have to trust us on this one!

After 25 years we think we know what it takes to get your toddlers toddling and babies bouncing! We pride ourselves on offering a real live music atmosphere to empower the people actually in the room to create the music. The feel good factor is wonderful when we have all been singing our socks off for 40 minutes! We have a singing leader and a musician at each session to help enable this. Guitar and keyboards used.
Teddies is not a franchise, so no termly booking fee, restricted numbers or age groups and not a CD player in sight!

We make time before after every session for the children to let off steam and for parents and carers to relax and get to know each other, with free tea, coffee and biscuits. Our drop in sessions for 0-5 year olds take place every weekday, with no need to book ahead.

Teddies began as a way to feed Claire and Zita's toddlers' passion for singing and music. Over the years hundreds of children and parents have come to join us, to sing, learn new action rhymes, dance and make friends. We have slowly grown into a team of parents running Teds with Jeanette, Louise, Michelle and Tori all running different sessions.
Each one of us is fascinated by music and its effect on our children. We want to share anything we know and love learning from the people who come to Teds. Many of whom are very talented musicians or teachers or jack-of-all trades like us, who have new songs to teach us.
Also we all love to sing together in a big group.
It is an organic process and and we are always excited to meet new people and sad to loose children to school or nursery. But we hope we have helped give the children a head start in confidence, vocabulary, memory, music making, recognition skills and exhuberant dancing!
