General information

I am a film, TV ad and music video director of nine years.
I have run a corporate video company, Red camera rental company and have directed the theatrically released
'I - Against - I'​.

In 2009 I won the comic con short film award for my horror film 'The Insane.'​ which was judged by Tom De Santo, Producer of Transformers, Apt Pupil and X-Men. The short also drew attention from Focus features.
I write as well as direct and can storyboard and conceptualize any number of projects; camera operate 35mm equipment and have a strong working knowledge of lenses and camera equipment.
I enjoy working with actors a great deal and have a minimalist, highly stylized approach to filming with strong influences from Asian cinema.
I have a strong flare for colour, creative uses of focusing, I enjoy shooting on long lenses and fish eye wide angles, I love symmetry, elegance and simplicity, combined with strong coloured lighting. I also love neon and practical lighting and shooting in night time cities is my favourite thing in the world.

I currently reside in Manchester but I work all over the country on a variety of shoots.
I have close ties to a great production crew, post companies and VFX firms to pull together all aspects of a production.
When I'm not working I'm either writing, hiking in the highlands or taking photos.
