Student Accommodation
Carr and Hume’s Directors own an impressive number of high quality student homes in close proximity to Salford University. This gives the company a unique insight into the particular requirements of students and the strict regulations governing Houses in Multiple Occupations (HMO’s). Our success has been noticed by other landlords and property investors, and as a result we now manage an increasing number properties on their behalf making us one of the leading providers of student accommodation in the Salford area.
Block Management
With years experience and an in depth knowledge of current legislation, Carr and Hume offer bespoke Block Management services specifically tailored to each individual development. Whether a large purpose built block of hundreds of apartments or a small converted building comprising a small number of apartments, we work closely with residents to ensure they receive the levels of service they require. The department is headed by Company director Nigel Craig who is always available to meet with residents at formal AGMs or on an individual basis when required
Maintenance
Carr and Hume offer a complete property maintenance service to home owners, landlords and commercial clients. Using approved contractors we can arrange for local tradesmen to attend your property, provide an estimate and carry out the required work promptly and professionally. In emergencies, we can arrange for contractors to attend your property within hours of you reporting the problem to our trained maintenance team. Jobs both big and small are undertaken from simply changing a light bulb to overseeing a complete property refurbishment.
Accounts
Our Association of Accounting Technicians (ATT) trained staff offer a complete package to landlords and freeholders ensuring deposits are registered with The Deposit Protection Scheme, rents and service charges are collected efficiently, arrears managed stringently, and contractors paid punctually. Monthly statements are provided showing all income and expenditure for landlords. End of year accounts can be prepared for landlords by request helping to cut down on expensive accountant’s fees. Annual budgets and year end accounts are provided for block management clients.
