General information

The course runs for a year with self study and 12 weekends of practical experience fully supported in order to reinforce your learning. There will be an optional advanced module that will allow you to help clients with deeper issues.

In the early stages you will be guided through the basic and often overlooked, yet essential, exploration about what is involved in becomming a therapist and with that in mind, throughout the course you will be expected to gain insight into your self and your own motivations as well as learning how to assess others.

The course will cover but not be limited to the following important topics.

The essential qualities of a good therapist
Understanding hypnosis in the therapeutic setting
How to conduct the initial assessment/case study
How to carry out a variety of inductions techniques
Advanced communication skills in the therapy room
How to successfully design a hypnotherapy session tailored to the needs of your client
Understanding common topics like stopping smoking, weight control , phobias etc.
When saying no is the right thing to do.
Protecting your client and yourself during the course of therapy.
Managing your practice
