Fostering Ltd

Fostering Ltd is an Independent Fostering Agency based in Bury, Greater Manchester. We offer placements to a wide range of children aged 0-18 and are currently looking to recruit more carers in all areas of North West England.

We are a small, yet highly experienced team who understand the needs of carers; our Team Manager Caroline Larkin has been an approved foster carer for over 12 years, caring for over 70 children, and one of our Social Workers previously fostered for nearly 16 years. Because of this insight, we are able to offer practical advice and support to our carers as well as regular supervision, 24 hour telephone support, regular training and membership to organisations such as Fostering Network and FosterTalk.

We aim to provide a family feel for our carers, where problems are shared and children receive individual care. We pride ourselves on taking the time to listen, not just to children, but to our foster carers and their families too.

We want every looked after child to have a safe, caring and supportive family home, where they are valued and made to feel 'at home'. We offer many different types of placements depending on the needs of the child including Short Term, Long Term, Respite, Remand, Sibling Group, Emergency and Parent and Child.

We believe that children do better when professionals work in partnership with parents and the child's wider family; we want our service to instil confidence in all those who are involved in the young person's life, whatever the length of our involvement.

We work with carers and other professionals to help all children achieve their potential and develop into happy, confident young people; we want every child placed with us to be healthy, safe and have opportunities to make positive contributions to their community.
