General information

Our firm was founded in 1991 by Jon Comyn-Platt and Danny Halpern. They met at South Manchester Law Centre and have developed Platt Halpern into a leading Manchester legal practice, offering quality services through the legal aid system or at affordable and competitive rates to private clients.

Whether you are receiving legal aid or paying for advice yourself, our service is the same. If you are not eligible for public funding we will give the best value for money. At your first meeting we will tell you how we calculate our charges and tell you how much your case is likely to cost.

We are specialists in criminal defence work, family law, housing law and personal injury. We are proud of our reputation and the fact that many clients are referred to us or recommended by their family, friends and colleagues.

Experience — We are specialist and accredited lawyers with many years experience. Our solicitors include those accredited by the Law Society for Children Law and Personal Injury work. Many of our solicitors are experienced court advocates.
