General information

Here at United Junk Ltd we operate a zero to landfill policy. We achieve this with our onsite picking station, where we pick low grade plastic that is 100% recyclable, paper / cardboard also 100% recyclable. Our picked low grade wood goes to Boden's timber for chipping, which is used by power stations for electricity. Virgin wood, we use in our own furness to generate hot water and heating on site. Our residual waste which is 3 - 4% goes to J. Doyle Ltd, based in Bolton; there they shed the material which makes flock, this is then processed into a fuel used to provide power stations with electricity etc. Our final products are soil and hardcore, hardcore is crushed off site as 6F2, therefore we achieve recyclable hardcore.
