General information
The Altius Alliance SCITT specialises in School Centred Initial Teacher Trainig. Our vision for the Altius Alliance SCITT is to continue to be a centre of excellence for producing outstanding teachers of Maths, English, Science, History, Geography and Modern Foreign Languages for children aged 11-16.
We also have places available to train to teach Art, Computer Science, Drama and Product Design via the School Direct route.
The Altius Alliance is led by Cheadle Hulme High School (CHHS) under the umbrella of the Laurus Trust. There are several partnership schools within the Alliance, located across Stockport, Tameside and Trafford.
It is within this context you can gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) within the trust. We are in partnership with The Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) for the award of PGCE.
