Buckworths is the only London firm to focus entirely on startups. The firm charges on the basis of fixed fees and advises on everything from incorporation and corporate matters to angel and VC investment rounds.
A significant proportion of Buckworths clients are tech startups though the firm also acts for a broad range of other types of business. The firm is particularly well known for its specialist advice in relation to SEIS and EIS (two tax relief schemes for investors into certain types of qualifying startups) and employee share option schemes including the tax efficient EMI scheme.
