Please note: Here at model search UK we do different model competitions some are FREE to enter and some you have to find a company sponsor to sponsor you, in this case we ask for a small deposit to be sent to us, so we can order your sash and finalist prize :)

I've been warned not to give up front fees to model agencies, what is the difference with Sponsorship fees?

Answer,
From 1st October 2010, model agencies have been banned from charging upfront fees. Model agencies that genuinely believe you could be a successful model will not charge you to sign up to their model books as they will receive agency commission from jobs you do for them. The difference with Model and Beauty Pageants is you will not necessarily be working for them, so they will not have another way of covering their Model or Beauty Pageants event costs. And remember, a sponsor is any person or business that provides services or products in exchange for advertising. And the sponsorship fee that is paid for advertising on the sash is usually tax deductible for their company to claim back.
