BRIEF HISTORY:
The club was originally founded in 1878 as Hurst (Cross) F.C. and the earliest known match report dates back to March, 1879. By 1880, the club were playing at Hurst Cross, which is still the current ground, making it one of the oldest surviving football grounds in the world!
