Since 1974 Age Concern Tameside has been committed to serving the needs of older people in the community to remain active, maintain independence and improve quality of life.
Although we remain an independent local charity, we officially became Age UK Tameside on 1st April 2011 and are proud to be affiliated to Age UK.
Working together in a strong partnership we actively promote the well-being of people in later life with national and local campaigns, influencing the media, by fundraising and through our range of products and services.
Age UK is for all of us, because age is a part of life, and we celebrate the wisdom, the calm and the confidence age can bring.
