TRS Safety and Training is a subsidiary of Radio Structures Ltd, we are Working at heights and safety provider in the Telecom and Construction industry.

Our aim is to deliver superior standards within our course content; So Employers know their employees are taught to current safe and best practice.

All our Instructors are highly qualified, competent and extensively experienced in adapting sessions to suit the need of all the customers. With extensive working backgrounds in the Telecom, Confined Space, Rope Access, Emergency services and Construction industry.

Both Radio Structures and our Instructors bring together nearly 40 years of practical experience and knowledge of what works best in industry.

Training Standards and what we deliver

All training courses will be delivered to current and best practices incorporating current British standards to BS 8454 and BS 7985 and compliance with Working at Height Regulations 2005. The Instructors aims are to deliver a course that not only motivates the students but most importantly achieves both students and Instructors goals.

Our courses can either be delivered at Radio Structures facility in Northampton or at an external location of your choice providing there is a suitable structure for the course aims, classroom facilities and adequate student numbers.

We are able to deliver the following Awareness courses; Asbestos, Confined Space, Harness Awareness, Restraint and Fall Arrest solutions. These are all classroom theory based and non practical deliveries.

Practical based courses include Advanced Climber, Tower Rescue, BS7985 Rope Access, Safe use of Steps and Ladders, Simple rigging techniques for the telecom industry, Mast Installation, PPE Inspectors and First Aid at Work courses. We also offer PPE Inspection and PATS testing where either by post or appointment you can have all your equipment tested and certified.

For those workers that may find themselves on an Arqiva site or need access onto their Gateway. We are fully accredited to deliver our climbing courses to their standards. We also outsource Instructors to deliver PASMA and IPAF courses that are either delivered at our location or yours dependent on the venue being suitable.

Training Facility
We are in the process of developing a new training structure with a large enough working platform to accommodate a full course at one time. This allows the Instructors to deliver a more fluid course without interruptions of having students at ground level whilst other students perform their tasks at height.
The new main 9m training structure has been designed to gain maximum potential from the students and will allow for rope access, rigging and climbing skills to take place. The aim is to develop the tower as time goes by to allow more than 1 course to be delivered at one time but not being disruptive to each courses delivery.

We have also developed a Rooftop structure that looks at identifying the risks of working on a rooftop either in the potential of a fall or in a protective area.

The facility has a number of other training towers on site to hone the workers skills and techniques on. These range from an 18m Rasmussen tower and an 18m Slimline self supporting mast that can be dismantled and reinstalled to full height. We also offer training in the installation of mobile towers.

Costs
We aim to keep the costs as low as possible without compromising the level of delivery. We feel our rates are very competitive and also offer reduced rates for those that support us. All of thse rates are available upon request.

Location
With Northampton being central to most of England and well known for being the hub of the rigging industry, the location is well suited for ease of travel. We have access to most of the arterial routes across the midlands making it simple to travel in all directions.
