We provide investment, pensions, tax and financial planning services for individuals, partnerships and small companies. Our priority for clients is to establish a relationship that is built on confidence and mutual respect. Much of our growth is through recommendation and our policy is “to maximise our client’s financial position through choosing products and services that we would invest in ourselves”.

Each and every client is treated with the utmost importance and regular reviews are arranged to ensure that pensions and investments are performing above their respective benchmarks. We also actively encourage our clients to phone or drop in to see us should they have any query or change in circumstance as we believe this only strengthens our working relationships.

We only provide independent impartial advice and have no ties to any other companies; this means that we are free to source the best products for our clients from the whole of the market.

Allan Investment Management, directly regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), was founded in 1992 with the objective of providing professional and independent financial planning.

Over the last two decades the firm has expanded following the acquisition of two local IFA businesses and has a fantastic reputation in the local community for service and excellence. So much so, we find that much of our business is from direct referrals from existing clients.

Allan Investment Management provides impartial, independent advice and always concentrates on putting the needs of its clients first.

The initial consultation is always funded from our marketing budget, we will always agree with you what is chargeable and how much you will pay. We have a transparent commission structure which allows any commissions to be credited to your account or used to pay the agreed fees.

After the initial consultation there is an initial charge for advice and for arranging investments or for any ongoing work such as periodic or ongoing reviews, the details of which will be agreed with you in writing before we carry out any chargeable work. You can cancel our ongoing services at any time.

Protection products may generate commission which will normally cover the costs of the work we undertake on your behalf; but there may be occasions when we levy a fee. Where commission is paid we will always disclose in writing the amount of commission that we receive. The fees or commission received by our company are not paid in full to your personal adviser; he or she is remunerated but the Company has to cover its overheads such as rents, rates, etc.

Our charging structure is fully compliant with the recommendations put forward in the Retail Distribution Review which came into effect in January 2013 and we believe that we offer competitive pricing for the level of expertise we offer to all our clients.
