Since Victor Dartnall began training 17 years ago he has rightly earned the reputation of a man who can nurture talent and produce a peak performance on the required day.
Over the years he has handled some quality jumpers including Lord Sam, Giles Cross, Ambion Wood, Russian Trigger, Ace High, Exmoor Ranger, Lodge Lane and Richards Sundance.
His training establishment at Higher Shutscombe near Barnstaple stands in 112 acres of rich and undulating North Devon grassland where facilities include grass and all-weather gallops, extensive schooling grounds, sand arenas, two horse walkers and turnout paddocks.
The team at Higher Shutscombe always welcome existing and potential owners and those considering having a horse in training, can enjoy a stay in Devon at the delightful Hartnoll Hotel, courtesy of Victor Dartnall Racing, while they learn for themselves just what sets Victor apart.
