Moving On Employment Project support participants all over Shetland to find work placement and employment opportunities in their local area.
Moving On provides two services-
• The Job Brokerage Service- Participants engaging with the Moving on Employment Project in stages 4 and 5 of the Employability Pathway will be supported to obtain workplace experience to develop work skills and into unsupported sustainable employment.
• The Transition Support Service- The Transition Support Service is provided by Moving on Employment Project to young people aged between 16-25 with additional support needs and or autistic spectrum conditions. They will be supported to promote and enhance their employment opportunities within the local community.
The Moving on Employment Project will work with employers to support individuals during work placement to gain and develop work skills, confidence and experience in the employment market. We aim to provide a service which can support individuals in the workplace; our Support Workers are available to spend time with individuals in their work placement or place of employment.
