Leyland Country House

General information

Leyland Country House opened its doors to B&B guests in September 2006. We have since gained a reputation for providing some of the best accommodation service in the area and are very proud of that.
We offer individual, highly contemporary designed rooms that inspire and delight our clients.
The house was originally built in 1927 for a local family called the Kings. They owned the very famous book shop in Lymington until it was sold to Waterstones just a few years ago. The fabulous, uninterrupted views surrounding the property are unique to Leyland as Mr King purchased the plot of land from a local farmer. We are now part of the New Forest National Park that was formed in 2005.

I trained as a fashion designer at the London College of Fashion and whilst having my family, restored houses. I purchased Leyland in 2002, and apart from the King family, the house has had only one other owner. A year long project of transforming Leyland in to what it is today was completed in May 2005.

Leyland Country House B&B is very much a family run business. My manager, Tracey West, is highly committed to our clients and is an excellent cook. So make sure you leave room for her famous breakfast! My children, Liberty, Saskia, Monty and Harley all work as part of the team too. Everyone is here, ready to welcome you to Leyland Country House.
