Sight Concern (Bedfordshire) is an independent, local, sight-loss charity providing information, advice and practical support for blind and partially sighted people in Bedfordshire and Luton.
“If I hadn’t had Sight Concern in my life I would still be at home, doing nothing all day, not talking to anyone.”
An estimated 13,000 people living in Bedfordshire and Luton are affected by sight loss. Although visual impairment can occur at any age, it is more prevalent in older people, with 1 in 7 people aged over 65 and 1 in 3 people aged over 85 in the UK living with sight loss.
Sight Concern works with visually impaired people, their families and carers to make it easier to live active, independent lives.
