JNB Publishing

General information

JNB Publishing was established in 1999 and became a limited company in 2006. Originally formed as a two-man team to publish a monthly entertainment magazine called Luton at Large (which we still publish to this day), JNB Publishing has developed into a creative agency dealing with all aspects of marketing, creative design, digital media and print.

In the early years we concentrated on Luton at Large and other free magazine titles. For five years we published another free title for the county called ‘Discover Bedfordshire’. A glossy full colour 52-page quarterly title, Discover Bedfordshire was extremely well received by the public and due to the economic down-turn and a lack of funds available to advertisers in the local leisure and tourism industry that it promoted, we would still be publishing it to this day.

Through our experience in magazine publishing we now design, edit, print and distribute publications for a range of corporate clients including the Hairdressing Council for Britain’s ‘Hairdresser’ magazine, ‘Business Focus’ for the Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce, ‘Talk of the Town’ for Dunstable Town Council, the Freelance Hair and Beauty Federation’s ‘Freelancer’ title and The Grove Theatre's ‘What's On’ brochure to name but a few. Plus we also manage many regular periodical publications for a range of clients.

Initially as a by-product of magazine publishing we were asked by advertising customers to produce advertisements that we designed for them as flyers and posters and this grew over time into a new revenue stream for the company which has now become one of the major strings in the JNB Publishing bow. At the time when professional digital print was only just emerging as a serious rival to traditional lithographic printing, we invested in, state-of-the-art digital printing equipment and have continued to ride the crest of the ever-developing digital print industry. We now have the latest digital printing press available for general short-to-medium run SRA3 printing, every finishing option necessary to create the desired final product, plus both aqueous and solvent large format printing solutions for larger display solutions and signage, interior and exterior work. We also work with a select group of suppliers for out-sourced work, most of whom we have worked with for over 10 years, so that we can guarantee quality, service and that we will never miss a deadline.

From just two partners who began the company back in 1999, JNB Publishing has grown to employ six full-time members of staff, a number of part-time and casual-time employees, plus we work with the most experienced and passionate freelancers where necessary to ensure we can achieve our clients’ preferred results as quickly, efficiently and professionally as possible.

Following a successful 2013, we are confidently looking forward to growing the company in 2014 and further developing our range of solutions to help our customers meet and exceed their marketing objectives through professional creative design and print solutions. A large growth area for the company in the past twelve months has been in digital media and we now boast our own server hosting nearly 50 websites designed, developed and maintained by JNB Publishing. Further development in this area has allowed us to make the natural steps into digital signage and various other multi-media marketing solutions that are the perfect complement to our already vast customer offering.
