General information

Moor Heat has successfully been supplying firewood as a by-product of our busy tree surgery business
for some time. Since our expansion into biomass production 7 years ago, it became apparent
that demand for sustainable and economic domestic heating fuel could be met by our quality firewood.
Hence, we have developed a new bespoke wood yard, increased our stock and stream lined our
production and delivery systems.
Our firewood is seasoned and dried naturally and tested to below 25% moisture content, the
optimum dryness recommended for wood burner and wood boiler heat output. We never sell
unseasoned or wet firewood and our loads and log size are standardized so you always know what
you are buying. We believe this makes our logs a serious and economic alternative to electricity,
gas and heating oil for domestic heating.
