General information

We are Cheshire's premier resort destination with an 81 bedroom hotel, extensive meeting and event facilities, 3 restaurants, luxury spa and championship golf course. We are located close to both Manchester and Liverpool and easily accessible from both the M6 and M56 motorways.

Our Hotel

Our 81-bedroom hotel features classic contemporary décor with a modern look and feel. Incorporating its history and Victorian architectural style into each bedroom and suite, guests can be assured of a good night’s sleep with luxury feather and goose down duvet and pillows, and a 1200 interior sprung divan and mattress by the Hypnos Company (who hold the Royal Warrant). In addition, the rooms include luxurious bathroom amenities by Aromatherapy Associates, complimentary Wi-Fi, and iPod docking stations along with satellite TV and radio, bath and showers, air conditioning, in-room safes, mini bar, hair dryers and international direct dial telephones. Many of the rooms enjoy stunning views over The Mere Lake and the championship golf course.

Meetings & Events

Our newly designed conferencing suites, including the renowned James Braid Suite, have been refurbished to the highest specification as a key part of the resort’s new re-development. Already one of the North West’s most well-established conference and event facilities for up to 550 delegates, the range of conference and event facilities are ideal for small business meetings through to large conferences. A newly developed suite has been created for intimate dining and special occasions; named as The Riley Room, this offers the perfect setting for private dinners and meetings and is home to an art collection from esteemed local artist Harold Riley.

Dining

Our two new restaurants at the resort include ‘Browns at The Mere’, which is a gourmet brasserie set in relaxed airy surroundings beneath a giant glass Atrium roof. With a commitment to using local suppliers with the freshest seasonal ingredients possible, the menu is prepared by an experienced team of chefs under Executive Chef, Mark Fletcher With its feature floor to ceiling, glass-encased wine wall, the restaurant has a resident wine sommelier on hand. In addition, the new ‘Club Lounge & Bar’ boasts one of Cheshire’s finest views over the 18th Green of the championship golf course. Offering the best of English fare with a Mere twist, this is the perfect setting to relax and dine in an informal environment.

Golf

Alongside our new dining facilities overlooking the course, golfers and visitors are also able to enjoy our new Golf Shop, with ranges from Polo Ralph Lauren, Taylor Made and Galvin Green.

Health Club & Spa

Our state-of-the art health club includes a luxury spa with 6 treatment rooms, 20m indoor swimming pool, a ‘thermal zone’. Guests can also dine at The Spa Lounge & Bar, an intimate, stylish and contemporary restaurant serving breakfast, a selection of fresh pastas, grills, sandwiches and salads throughout the day, along with speciality teas and freshly ground coffee.
