General information

The Nelson & Norfolk Tea Company was established by Mark Richmond, who moved to Norfolk after being inspired by many early memories of happy family holidays, the beautiful coastline and those big East Anglian skies. Since 2012, the relaxed and laid back lifestyle that Norfolk living brings made him choose Norfolk as his home. Norfolk also happens to be the birthplace and childhood home of Lord Nelson: he learned to sail on The Broads and was a pupil at Paston Grammar School in North Walsham, where the Company is based. So, the Nelson & Norfolk Tea Company was born, bringing together this great County and national hero to epitomise the best tea to be found anywhere.

So, Why Tea?

Quite simply, we love tea as much as we love the fine County of Norfolk. Mark has 25 years' experience as a fully qualified Tea Master, including time spent at Harrods' and Fortnum and Mason's tea departments. This led to further training in tea at Whittard of Chelsea. Mark's knowledge and passion for tea is second to none. His many years in Yorkshire as a Tea Master means that he knows what makes a great cuppa. He uses this expertise to bring the very best blends together for your tea-drinking pleasure.
