Namaste! Snow Cat Travel is the brand name for the premium tailor-made holiday service provided by Rural Heritage Journeys PVT LTD. For over 15 years Rural Heritage Journeys has delivered a complete destination management service to the travel trade. Our sister company Rural Heritage Nepal owns and operates select boutique, heritage hotels in Nepal such as the Famous Farm at Nuwakot and the Old Inn at Bandipur.

We are a Nepalese company, 100% Nepalese owned, registered with the Government of Nepal and members of both the Nepal Association of Tour & Travel Agents and the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal.

Many well known tour operators around the world choose to use Rural Heritage Journeys for their scheduled group tours, whether they be trekking, cultural or adventure tours. In other words, we operate tours on their behalf. We provide everything from airport transfers, provision of qualified, trained guides, accommodation, overland transport, internal flights, porterage, emergency procedures etc for our overseas partners group tours.

As more and more people now want their visit to Nepal to be so much more than a fixed group programme we've created Snow Cat Travel specifically for the discerning traveller who desires a more personal travel service and experience and also prefers to book their holiday directly with a Nepalese owned company.

Why Snow Cat Travel? Well, although your booking contract and holiday operation remains with Rural Heritage Journeys to avoid any confusion with our travel trade only operations we decided to create a comprehensive website purely for tailor-made Nepal holidays and give it a different name.

We were also acutely aware that delivering first class tailor made holidays in Nepal requires a first class service too. So, we ‘joined forces’ with Mark in the UK to ensure that our discerning clients receive a dedicated, personal service to the highest possible standards. As you'll see below, Mark has been in the travel industry for many, many years from a group leader in his early days to senior management with renowned, leading UK tour operators. Mark & Niraj (our CEO) have been both friends and working partners for a long time. They both have a ‘thing’ for Snow Leopards, hence Snow Cat Travel!
