General information

A small team headed up by owners Clare and John Serginson.
Both John & Clare spent their early working lives in advertising based in London. John was a freelance still life advertising photographer, working on prestigious campaigns such as BMW, John Smiths beer, Tuborg, Gucci and Rothmans, Clare an art buyer for a large advertising agency. The couple gave up the hurley burley of London life, setting up The Lakeland Cottage Company in 1993, applying creative and marketing skills to a level normally associated to much larger companies.
Backing them up are Annie Smethurst and Paul Roebuck, and of 2013 Clare and Johns three children are becoming active in the company. Jack and Alice (twins) and Florence have all studied at Windermere St Anns and have gone on to further studies in art - so true chips of the old block.
