Truelove Property & Construction

General information

In 1978 George Truelove managed to negotiate the purchase of a portion of the land released by the Lincoln City Council on the old airfield on Doddington Road, by which time Paul their eldest son was actively involved in the business.

From that date, they acquired sufficient land to build approximately 500 homes on Doddington Park. During this time they also undertook developments in Barrow Upon Humber, Broughton, Chapel St Leonards, Eagle, Hibaldstow, Kirton in Lindsey, Mumby, North Carlton, Saxilby, South Hykeham and Waddington to name but a few, building over a further 250 new homes in Lincolnshire.

At the end of 1999 a new opportunity arose and we went to Nottingham to form a new company specifically for the purpose of acquiring old mills and warehouses and converting them into stylish city living apartments. We also did design and builds schemes for new apartments blocks and over the 7 year period built over 1,500 apartments under the name of Lace Market Properties Ltd.

Truelove Property continued to build during this time and we built a further 140 homes from the individually designed to the larger schemes of 80 homes, these developments were at:Grange Close at Ingham, Newport Farm at North Carlton, Poachers Lane at Sudbrooke, Barrow Upon Humber, Kirton in Lindsey and Dunkirk Road.

We continue to be a family run business and have many family members working together both in our offices and also on site. We strive to build quality and bespoke houses with distinct and customised finishes using local tradesman.
