Walter Craven began arranging funerals in the early 1920′s and his great-grandson, Charles Craven, now heads our dedicated team who have helped build our reputation for excellence.

Our wide choice of services are tailored to your precise needs and wishes – from a basic simple funeral to something more elaborate; plus the unique small touches that matter most.

We’re always here for you. In fact, there’s someone at the end of the telephone 24 hours a day, seven days a week

Our private Chapels of Rest are open every day
Monday – Friday: 8.30am – 8.00pm.
Saturday: 9.00am – 12.00 noon.
Sunday and Bank Holidays: 10am – 12.00 noon.

Services we usually provide:

Transfer of deceased from place of death to our premises
Hygienic treatment of the deceased
Use of Chapel of Rest or transfer of deceased to the family home
Hearse
Coffin bearers as required
Administration and service charge
A choice of casket or coffin

Further services available:

Limousines
Extra hearse for flowers
Oak casket for cremated remains
Transfer of deceased into church overnight
