General information
St Edward’s College offers an inspiring and challenging co-educational Catholic education to over 1200 children from across the City and further afield.
The priorities of serving the community, demonstrating commitment, caring for others and striving for success, are based firmly on the values promoted by Blessed Edmund Rice, the founder of the Congregation of Christian Brothers and Father James Nugent who, in 1853, established what was later to become St Edward’s College.
Pupils and staff are guided by the ethos of the College in the way they conduct their lives and relate to one another – all pupils are encouraged to work hard, respect themselves and respect others.
The school is an Academy and is located on a spacious campus in East Liverpool. It is the Choir School to the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King and provides both boy and girl choristers.
The College is one of a handful of schools to have been judged by Ofsted as Outstanding in three consecutive inspections.
