Pagoda Arts

General information

Since December 2011, Pagoda Arts coordinates the Pagoda Chinese Community Centre to improve the health and wellbeing of the local Chinese community. Pagoda provides a range of services for the local Chinese community including health and wellbeing activities (badminton, taichi, dance, hygiene training, chiropody, translation for Chinese speakers (Cantonese and Mandarin), social welfare advice and studying groups.

Pagoda Arts is located in an accessible community building, which nurtures beneficiaries from a range of different backgrounds (ie Disabled People, Chinese and other racial minority groups, all age ranges both men and women, as well as welcoming anyone for the other equality groups from a very diverse community setting) by offering a range of support, facilities, events and learning experiences. It has brought to life a community hub, home to a range of creative and cultural ideas, a range of pop-up facilities, educational social activities and the home of the group's core work with all age groups.
Mentoring and peer-to-peer learning are at the core of all projects. People will be stimulated to exchange skills in a collaborative and productive environment. Equality for all, runs right though all the work and pride everyone with working in an inclusive manner.
