General information

The CiONE Postural Rejuvenation ‘flagship’ Centre in Churchgate Mews, Loughborough, reached its 8th anniversary in September 2014, though the concept has been a vision of the founder – a past International athlete and Bio-mechanist - for almost 17 years.

In essence, CiONE Postural Rejuvenation by Tim King in Loughborough is a fusion of several healthcare disciplines into one location. Inside the Centre the therapists interact with one another, cross refer and as an entity, provide much needed private facilities and treatments for the general well being of individuals – specialising in Elite Sport looking after elite athletes from Triathlon through to Formula 1 racing.

Indeed the CiONE team of specialist work with athletes from the Cricket Academies, Leicester Tiger Academies, Premiership Football Academies and support numerous professional athletes, presently based at Loughborough University.

The CiONE Postural Rejuvenation element - is a team of leading Bio-mechanist’s, who have been brought together by the founder of CiONE, for their expertise and knowledge to fulfil the CiONE vision, where ill health and injuries can be treated as well as prevented. This allows for programmes of healthy postural body development to be organised. Thus enabling each patient to leave CiONE Postural Rejuvenation - healthily balanced, energized and in a positive outlook - rejuvenated for their daily lives.

Mission

The mission is to establish the CiONE Postural Rejuvenation by Tim King brand and concept throughout the UK, enhancing the well being of individuals and their families and providing a service and environment for ultimate multi disciplined health care.

Consultant Bio-mechanist and Founder of the CiONE Postural Rejuvenation Methodology - Tim King has personally developed the Biomechanical element of the CiONE CENTRE. Offering ‘state of the art’ Custom Stability Plates and Custom Footwear, along side postural programmes, teaching patients/athletes to stand, walk and ultimately - run Biomechanically correctly, without pain in a efficient flowing style/technique.

CiONE Postural Rejuvenation presently can boast a 100% patient success rate over the past 15 years within its clinics, based upon the patient/athlete participating fully in the unique programs developed by the founder.

Tim King has been a practising Bio-mechanist for over 18 years since retiring from International Athletics and has developed his own custom Stability Plate engineering software and postural correction methodology, that has eradicated postural pain over the past 12 years. He has also been involved in the Footwear and Orthotic industry for over 16 years. During this time he has worked directly for Healthcare and Footwear companies, where the experiences, research and contact opportunities have been extensive and invaluable to the establishment of the CiONE Postural Rejuvenation program.

His Software Company Soletec Systems Limited is an independently owned business and has the rights to sell the custom CAD/CAM software that it has developed around the world. Tim King is the founder of the software company and manages the business direction to compliment the CiONE Postural Rejuvenation business model.

The technology company is partnered to one of the largest EU (Government sponsored) footwear research institutes, based in Spain. This association provides invaluable data, research and resource to ensure the CiONE Centre stays well ahead of all current technology in the footwear and orthotic field.

The CiONE Postural Rejuvenation Clinic business in Loughborough and the Harley Street Centre in London are part of Tim King and his wife's, Sharon King, overall plan to introduce the Human Engineering principles through out the UK and Europe initially. Sharon, who herself is an ex International Athlete and qualified Personal trainer, is an integral part of the after care programs offered to the patient 'post' the CiONE Postural Rejuvenation programs...

Established Professionalism in Bio-mechanic’s practice.

Over the past 20 years Tim’s work and experience has been recognised in many spheres both commercial and more recently in the academic arena.

He has been appointed for the ninth year, as an undergraduate lecturer in Bio-mechanics at De Montfort University, Leicester on their BA Footwear Design Course, and has written and launched in October 2015 a NEW Bespoke Footwear Biomechanics Masters program within De Mont Fort University, Leicester, currently mentoring 10 Post Graduate students on the course.

This University has adopted some of the leading/advanced footwear design technology (donated by Soletec Systems Ltd and its Spanish partners INESCOP) and has been supportive of Tim’s achievements for several years.

The University have since 2012 endorsed and allowed Tim to commence his PhD in the application of clinical Bio Mechanics and have sponsored Tim in the process – to evidence the success that CIONE has achieved over the past 12 years with his unique methodology.

The recipients of his Post Graduate Masters program, (created through the PhD research post and an extension of Tim’s existing second year undergraduate course) - will be encouraged through his commercial development - to set up as a franchisee of the CiONE Postural Rejuvenation network – utilising all the technology and established business models. Thus providing an on going employment resource for the CiONE Postural Rejuvenation business model, while enabling the University to offer a positive and practical end result to students that have undertaken the course.

Bio-mechanist - A practical/clinical approach.

The application of the Bespoke Footwear Biomechanics – (practical/clinical Bio-mechanic’s) is a unique approach to the subject - focused from an engineering perspective and presently not available in any other UK/EU University.

Practical/clinical Bio-mechanics within Footwear, looks at the individual’s skeletal balance, as a dynamic structure that follows basic engineering parameters during movement and how load, forces, and gravity, affect individual Gait Cycles. Therefore this approach is a non-medical approach to postural dysfunctions, examining the engineering aspects and the realignment of the skeletal structure, and how it is affected during dynamic gait, - addressing the root cause of aches and pains and recurring injuries.

The Bio-mechanist will offer a post treatment aftercare package that guarantees the patient to walk in a corrected postural position – enabling – if maintained the eradication of the postural pain. This approach has generated the success over the past 12 years

Methodology

The CiONE Postural Rejuvenation methodology embraces state of the art CAD/CAM technologies and can produce true custom stability plates within 5 days and custom footwear (if required) within 10 days from CIONE own manufacturing facilities.

All manufacturing is managed by Tim king sister companies. The Methodology also features a programme of unique underlying BIO CORE exercises and postural re-alignment that help the patient negate negative weight load when moving dynamically, thus helping to eradicate postural pain.

The CiONE Postural Rejuveantion methodology is unique and has been developed over the past 12 years through the experiences gained in this specialist healthcare sector and Tim King’s own personal experience as a previous full time International athlete.

In recent years all patients that have followed the methodology prescribed by the CiONE Postural Rejuvenation Clinic, have all had their Bio-mechanical problems resolved.

This Unique methodology is an integral part of the future Bespoke Footwear Biomechanics Masters course in practical/clinical Bio-mechanic’s at De Mont Fort University and is ‘touched upon’ during the 2nd year undergraduate BA course in a small introductory manner.

Conclusion

The rapid success of the CiONE Postural Rejuvenation Clinic since 2007 has encouraged all key clinicians involved - to progress further with its overall development and accelerate the pace of the proposed franchising of the concept.

Following our second clinic in Stoney gate, Leicester (launched in December 2012), and our London Harley Street clinic – (launched in September 2013), and the on going progressing of the Franchise operation to establish the Europe, USA and Australasia markets; we feel the operation is perfectly placed to help any elite sports academy, or sports institution nationally or Internationally.
