The Soar Project

General information

SOaR was established by Keith Munro in 1996. It's primary purpose is evangelism and an important part of its mission strategy is enagaging in local schools.

SOaR has 3 workers: Keith Munro, Hlary Ayling and Chris Lewney. Keith works with Keys Stages 1 to 5, Hilary with pre-school groups and Key Stages 1 & 2, and Chris works with lunchtime and after school groups with Keys Stages 3 to 5. Between them they come into contact with hundreds if not thousands of children and young people each week.

We are commited to working in partnership with local churches, sometimes individually, but more in local mission partnerships.

Keith Munro is part of the Loughborough Churches Partnership Exec. and is passioante about spreading the Good News in Loughborough and the surrounding area.

Hilary Ayling works mainly in the villages around Loughborough, a mission context that she feels most at home with as she grew up in Newtown Linford and lives in Woodhouse Eaves.

Chris Lewney works mainly with young people, this important works is also primarily in partnership with the churches town-wide youth partnership, which is increasingly engaging church youth groups from the surrounding area.

SOaR is supported by a dedicated group of trustees from various churches in Loughborough and this part of the Soar Valley.
