General information

Koolbox was born whilst shooting one particularly cold shoot while wearing traditional welly’s we realised that there must be a market for some type of waterproof insulated boot, we did our research and we were offered Baffin boots. This was some 15 years ago and the start of our company. We went on to sell enough boots that we were eventually offered the Baffin distribution deal in the UK.

The next product that we became involved with was Canada Goose Outerwear again a product that was suitable for cold weather to very extreme cold weather environments.

In a fairly short period of time at a trade show that we attended we were introduced to Woolpower by one of the Canada Goose guys with the comment that “we had the best boots and Coats and the best socks and base layers would be an excellent addition for our range “. We were soon dealing with Woolpower.

Our business model was at this time mainly mail order but we quickly came to the conclusion that we obviously had a greater potential market place, and began to sell into both the retail sector ( Harrods and Selfridges) and directly to large end users (British Antarctic Survey and the Military)

We continued with these products for some considerable time until Canada Goose changed their strategy leaving a hole in our range until we met Pinewood clothing which clearly fit within our ethos and client needs.

Our company has evolved incredibly from our early days, going from selling individual items to end users, then dealing with small to medium retailers selling our brands and looking to the near future we are now in a position that we are weekly getting enquiries for our products from some of the largest names in our industry.

We are proud of our success for Koolbox and look forward to growing more in the future and adding new ranges of value to our clients and market
