General information

Osteopaths are primary healthcare professionals that specialise in the diagnosis, treatment, management and prevention of conditions that are due to problems with the joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves.

Treatment involves gentle, manual techniques - easing pain, reducing inflammation and muscle spasm and improving mobility. Often, osteopathy involves manipulation, Osteopathy does not involve the use of drugs or surgery.

Osteopathy focuses on causes, not just symptoms. It is therefore suitable for both acute (recent) and chronic (long term) conditions and as primary health care professionals, are qualified to assess your general health. In addition to treating pain we look to the cause of the problem in order to prevent future episodes. The techniques we use are based on current medical research to ensure we provide the most effective care to all of our patients.

I am an osteopath with 12 years experience registered with the General Osteopathic Council as well as the Institute of Osteopathy.
