General information

For over 30 years WT Skip Hire have provided waste management and recycling services to customers in Norfolk and Suffolk. The company was started by Walter Thurtle, who saw a gap in the market for a waste company to collect waste from the holiday camps and companies involved in the tourist industry.

The business grew quickly and soon the company were collecting waste from several camps across Norfolk, expanding their services to collect general waste from other premises, particularly those in the Great Yarmouth area.

In 2005 the company expanded, moving from its small storage yard to a purpose-designed waste transfer and recycling facility on the Harfreys Industrial Estate in Great Yarmouth. It was at this point that skip hire services were offered to customers, with waste sorted in the facility.

Today Walter, along with his sons Max and Gary, continues to be a director of the business as it concentrates on skip hire, roll-on-offs and recycling services.
