I established Park Lea Design Agency in 2009 with the vision to offer a global freelance design consultancy specializing in footwear, but also utilizing my other design skills as a qualified and experienced fashion designer. We are based in the UK in the beautiful north of England

Starting out at the bottom and working my way up the career ladder throughout my employed career I gained lots of valuable experience along the way. Since I graduated in 1997, I have constantly asked questions and worked closely with designers, buyers, technicians and industry mentors. In 2011 we became a limited company.

I have applied my creative skills in many fields in the fashion and design industry including footwear, womenswear, knitwear, childrenswear, prints and graphics.

My values, my excellent reputation and my work ethic have enabled my consultancy to be successful from day one. My long term clients keep coming back year on year with their seasonal briefs, and even new start ups return on an ad hoc basis as their brands grow.

My management qualifications and skills has meant that we listen a lot and then make sure we understand all your requirements by asking more questions to establish exactly what you need for your business and sales to grow.

As a grounded northern lass that has a no frills approach, I am very considerate, thoughtful and very approachable. I am always professional and dedicated to helping my clients reach theirFreelance-Footwear-Designer goals. It is such a pleasure to work with a diverse group of clients and I challenge myself daily.

Our clients are diverse in needs and target markets from inventors, start ups, established brands, retailers to suppliers and manufacturers. These clients are from, as far as China and India, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, USA to Portugal, France, Ireland, and many British and European Brands and UK retailers.

Doing our bit is something we strive to do more of, and we have a company policy to give back not only to a couple of charities, but to our environment. We are totally aware of how our working practices can be improved for the better and we aim to recycle and up cycle where possible and print only if necessary. We recycle packaging and use scrap paper for making notes. I am a fundraiser for a local young boy’s football team and create all their marketing material and flyers.

In my spare time I create crafts, love scouring markets, design and make cushion covers from up cycled fabrics and I love taking my doggy on walks in the local woods on a daily basis.
