A Neighbourhood Plan is a community-led framework that acts as a guide for new development within the neighbourhood area. The plan will give local people the chance to have their say in the future of the town.
In order for the plan to be a success, it's vital to engage with the local people. Throughout the planning process, there will be events, surveys, open evenings and forums to give as many residents as possible the chance to have their opinions heard, and to ensure that the completed plan accurately reflects the wants and needs of the local people.
The Neighbourhood Plan must comply with the exisitng Local Plan as set out by HDC (http://www.huntingdonshire.gov.uk/Planning/Planning%20Policy/Pages/LocalPlanto2036.aspx)
Once the plan is complete, it will be submitted to the local authority and subjected to an independent examination.
