After serving in the second world war, Tom Howes and Bill Boughton returned home to work for a small builder. After asking for a pay rise and being refused, the two friends in September of 1947 founded Howes and Boughton building company, set to become one of the most respected and successful building, decorating, electrical and roofing contractors in Letchworth Garden City.
We pride ourselves on our workmanship and quality of work, as 2 time winner of the garden city heritage award in 1992 and 1995 and finalists in 2007 and 2009, our dedication and hard work is paramount.
We cover all work large or small, from small re decoration to complete re roofing, residential and commercial.
