Eric T Moore Books Company Information
General information
Eric Moore's bookshop was situated at the bottom of one of the oldest streets in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, a market town dating from the Middle Ages. George Chapman, the sixteenth century translator of Homer who is commemorated on a plaque on the wall of the shop, is reputed to have been born in the same street.
The bookshop has been trading from this address since 1965 but we have now moved on-line.
Our extensive and general stock includes books of local Hertfordshire interest, also large collections of Art, Photography, Sport, Gardening, Religion, Transport, History, Natural History, Military History, Travel, Psychology, Topography, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Fiction and other subject areas. We also stock antique maps and prints of Hertfordshire and other counties.
If we do not have the book, (secondhand or new), you are looking for in stock, we would be pleased to search for it and then obtain it from an alternative source. There is no charge for this service and you are under no obligation to buy until we make a firm order for you.
Maps And Prints
We also sell antique maps and prints.
If we do not have the map you require in stock, we would be pleased to search for a copy for you from our worldwide contacts.
