General information
Shane Raven is a self-taught wood carver.
His stunning technique and flare being an inspiration to many aspiring young wood carvers. Starting out in the late 90's, Shane's interest in wood carving developed quickly and after a trip to London's famous V&A Museum he fell in love. The museum was holding an exhibition on Grinling Gibbons - England's 'Michelangelo of wood'.
Here they displayed the Cosimo Panel, an exquisite masterpiece that left the world and Shane in awe.
