Stroud District Food Bank Company Information
General information
The Stroud District Foodbank opened in December 2011 to provide support for individuals and families in food crisis anywhere in the Stroud District. We do this by providing short term, emergency food supplies during a crisis while a long-term support strategy is developed. We work in conjunction with care professionals such as health visitors, social workers, CAB and other support organisations who identify people in crisis and send them to our food distribution centres. Volunteers meet clients over a cup of tea or free hot meal and are able to signpost people to further agencies able to manage the longer-term problem and give them food.
