This Facebook page is for those who oppose the building of a Mass Burn incinerator at Javelin Park in Gloucestershire. It is in support of the campaign group Gloucestershire Vale Against Incineration (GLOSVAIN) but also all people who oppose this.

Please support us in our fight to stop a polluting, unnecessary and costly factory building from blighting the Cotswold countryside and force the council to explore the good alternatives that are available, and that still allow us to stop landfilling our rubbish.

The incinerator would burn materials that could be recycled. It is a backward step for the environment and Gloucestershire. It is not what we want to be locked into for the next 25 years!

WE ARE NOT AGAINST USING WASTE TO GENERATE ENERGY, IN FACT SUPPORT IT... WE THINK THIS PLAN IS NOT CONSIDERING ALL OPTIONS.... There are alternatives that achieve the same job for less money, using less space and crucially are better for the environment and our health.

We don't believe the council have been impartial in their continued push to get the incinerator built. They have voted not to wait for the result of a safety study into the effects of toxins released by such facilities, due in 2015
