General information

The main Red Gables building has been modernised to provide offices of varying sizes over three floors that are mostly leased to voluntary and community organisations that support local people in Mid Suffolk and the surrounding area.

The Old Library was originally built in 1939 to provide library services to the local community. In 2012 it was extensively refurbished and was named as ‘Redwoods’. It is now a fully accessible facility that provides a large activity and meeting space with a modern catering kitchen, plus an attractive garden room for smaller meetings that overlooks our well maintained 1.5 acre gardens.

The 1.5 acres of mature gardens sets a wonderful canvas for our facilities and contains beautiful Redwood trees, shrubs and lawns which provide a home for a variety of wildlife and will enhance your enjoyment when visiting Red Gables. It has also enabled us to develop a garden project that is supported and enjoyed by local people.
