Spinnaker Sailing Club

General information

The Spinnaker Club is based on inland water at Blashford Lakes, close to Ringwood with easy access to the A31 trunk road. We pride ourselves on being a family friendly Club which encourages sailing for all ages and abilities. The Club employs 3 full-time staff, a Club Administrator, a Boatswain/Senior Instructor and a Lead Instructor who are all very approachable and happy to help with any query.

We aim to make maximum use of our unique position as the only lake-based sailing club in the Southern Region of the RYA. Members can sail all year in relatively safe surroundings with very few days being lost to high winds or cold weather. In the summer the sea breeze from Christchurch Bay can give us glorious sailing conditions. At the highest end of the performance league, Spinnaker Club are one of the most successful team racing clubs in the world, boasting successes in all the major national and international events.

Spinnaker Club combines its welcoming and inclusive approach to sailing, with its full time staff and voluntary Committee’s, who are always looking to improve the Club for its Members.
