Smithers’ philosophy is whether in the country or about town we have a unique style for every occasion using only the best quality fabrics manufactured in mills in Britain. Tweed is no longer a conservative fabric it is getting bolder, brighter and better with rich mixtures of colour in the cloth. All our tailoring features additional finishing touches to give a quirky twist to what was once thought of as a very traditional style of dress.

We are a firm believer in where possible stocking British brands and this season we have Bladen from Norfolk, Brook Taverner from West Yorkshire, Leather gloves by Dent from Lancashire, Magee from Donegal in Ireland, Wool and Cashmere accessories by Abraham Moon from West Yorkshire and Murray Hogarth from Scotland.

We also stock a selection of European brands which include Meyer trousers for men, Gardeur trousers for both men and women, Olymp shirts and new for this season, Fynch Hatton.
