Few things feel as utterly splendid as a salon day. The sheer indulgence of it all is blissfully relaxing whilst at the same time fills one with eager anticipation. Hair is, without doubt, one of our favourite distractions. With so much thought going into style, colour and length, we leave the salon with a bounce in our locks, a spring in our step and a smile that says “I feel gorgeous”.

For 5 years XIV Hair has been “bringing the salon to you”. However, things are about to change as Victoria Marriott (Vix) opens the doors of her brand new boutique salon. Like all perfectionists, Vix set the bar high when she decided to create a stunning hair and aesthetics emporium in the heart of the Ryburn Valley. Naturally only the best stylists and practitioners would cut the mustard, though there was one potential hurdle – LOCATION!

Space for big hair
Room to move with natural light coming from every direction was a must if the new salon was to accommodate the treatment chairs, wash stations and separate therapy rooms needed to make it a truly special place (and still have space for a dedicated Barber Saloon for well-groomed gents). Vix found the perfect location right here in Rishworth.

Employing the very latest colouring and styling techniques XIV Hair Salon brings a fresh, modern, city-salon experience to Rishworth & Ripponden. From exquisite cuts and styles to stunning hair extensions and amazing new-season colours, the salon, which opens in February, also offers wedding & prom hair days and celebrity bouncy blow dries.

Joanne Sutcliffe is a Silver qualified permanent makeup artist who trained with world renowned, permanent makeup artist and micro-blading expert Karen Betts of Nouveau Contour. Treatments such as eyebrow micro-blading, permanent eyeliner and lip blushing achieve a beautiful, natural look which imitates conventional makeup with none of the hassle of daily application.

Lynda Turner, a former senior nurse, worked in the NHS for over 12 years before moving in to medical cosmetics. She has a vast amount of experience and has trained to Master Class in dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections with industry leading trainers. Lynda, who also boasts a Prescribing qualification, offers platelet rich plasma (also known as vampire facials), skin peels, Mesotherapy, Microdermabrasion, Sclerotherapy (removal of leg veins), Thermavein (removal of thread veins in the face and body) and treatments for scars, acne, rosacea and hair-loss in both men and women.

BARBER SALOON...
Last, but by no means least, something for well-groomed gents. Effortless style takes effort, so for a proper man’s haircut whether classic or modern, you need a trained barber. Today’s enlightened men are looking for a little more than the “dads & lads” of yesteryear. XIV’s Barber Saloon offers the perfect haircut, beard grooming and wet shaving service (plus hot towels and male skin treatment too).
