We aim to help and support those who have a wide range of memory difficulties and to ensure the highest standards of care and attention for those participating in our research programmes.
We are the only centre in Scotland which has conducted research on all of the currently licensed treatments for Alzheimer’s disease.
The benefit of identifying Prodromal Alzheimer’s disease means there is an opportunity for early intervention for example with a vaccine or new medicine.
We also run studies for people who already have an established diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease.
It is now generally accepted that people who do come forward and participate in research have better overall outcomes.
