It's been known as The Georgic since 1945 and there was a pub on this site for many years before that, which means - apart from the addition of a lounge bar in the 1990s - things are kept nice and traditional in this busy hostelry in the heart of Shawlands. Popular with an older crowd, many of whom have been drinking here for years, The Georgic is an unpretentious community pub where you'll be given a friendly welcome, especially if you're a fan of horseracing and, on match days, football shown on the six televisions. There's a juke box and a games machine too.
