General information
Jewish Care Scotland is the only charity dedicated to meeting the welfare needs of Scotland’s Jewish community. We offer a wide range of professional social work and social care services and work together with the charity’s volunteers, dedicated to tailoring our services to the needs of each individual.
We have a small team of dedicated and hardworking staff, as well over 80 caring and committed volunteers.
We are a non-profit organisation and rely on the generosity of individual donors to make up the shortfall in our funding. Every penny donated is appreciated.
We operate out of the the Walton Community Care Centre which was custom built and opened in 1999. It is the focal point for the delivery of all our services.
The Centre is located in the heart of Jewish community and allows us to offer social work support, run a day centre and a number of special clubs where people can gather socially, participate in therapeutic programmes, eat a meal together, be entertained and take part in a whole range of activities including keep fit, bridge, artwork, discussions and music appreciation.
