The Department of Design, Manufacturing and Engineering Management focuses on research excellence, effective industrial partnerships and creative engineering education.

We are an energetic and innovative department which delivers broad-based education and research of relevance to meet industrial and commercial needs. We are concerned with making organisations perform better through product, process and business development.

Our fields of expertise range from product and design engineering, through manufacturing and supply, to the management of the entire value chain. Meeting the needs of tomorrow’s world requires innovation and ingenuity, a sound understanding of technology and business, the skills to organise and direct and the vision and determination to lead.
